Hi All. Yianni here. Yes, today is the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year. and a great time for snow, which as you can see we have here in New York City. Above’s image is what it looks like in Central Park right now.

Wkipedia reveals:

“The winter solstice, hiemal solstice or hibernal solstice occurs when one of the Earth’s poles has its maximum tilt away from the Sun. It happens twice yearly, once in each hemisphere. Wikipedia.”
